Thoughts While I am Waiting

Well, I am in the airport right now waiting for our flight to Chicago. We will then fly to Beijing from there. It is going to be a long day but honestly, I am excited to sit and do nothing for thirteen hours straight. It has been a very busy couple of weeks preparing for this, so I am ready for some brainless activity. I am completely overwhelmed by the number of phone calls and e-mails from friends and family...we feel so loved and covered in prayer. I am amazed at the strength the Lord has given me. With as little sleep as I have had, I should be a zombie. My husband may argue that fact (I have been a little forgetful lately) but overall we have hung in there.

I wanted to share a link to a blog that I could totally relate to... http://www.myuglycouch.com/adoption-is-insane/.

In the beginning of this process we would get some pretty tactless comments. Yes, we are adding to the busyness and excitement of the Scisciani family, but we are already outnumbered so bring it on. This is the Lord's heart and command and we trust in His guidance. We are excited to meet this child the Lord put into our hearts. She IS our very own, but she is His first. We are so privileged to have her as part of our family.
